The firm was organized in 1989, later incorporated in Massachusetts and is now a Connecticut corporation. The company was formed as result of the cessation of the operation of the former Berkshire Organ Company, following the death of the president of that firm.  The principals of the new company were active in all aspects of organbuilding, from design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance.

Messrs Taylor & Fazio are active as church organists and choirmasters. It is this sensitivity to the importance of the pipe organ's ability to support the worship experience: congregational singing, solo and choral accompaniment and the performance of literature that may well set American Classic Organ Company apart from its competitors.

After Sixteen years in business, we are now housed in an attractive and functional workshop located in the river town of Chester, Connecticut. We have built new organs, rebuilt several others, and many churches have benefited from our thoughtful maintenance and attention to detail. We are committed to continual growth, and pray for God's continued guidance and strength.
